Easily distracted and deceived. This is what God has chosen to work with in the rescuing of His Children. Because children have only limited experience, they have no knowledge of the danger or the consequences of their actions.
The only hope we have is to listen and take heed to our Father who, in this case, "knows best" because He knows everything. Let us be obedient and not be deceived by the foolish persuasions of the Evil One with his treats and trinkets.
This is the whole test. Whose report will we believe, the Word of the Lord, or the one who would pull us away from the truth of what is really going on? The scariest part of the war is that God lets us make the decision of whether to believe Him or not.

Is there a spirit of resistance operating in us that is making it difficult for us to stop what we cannot quit? Are we so familiar with that spirit of fear and confusion that we do not step up to deal with the sin which is present in me, as Paul describes it, because I do not notice it or its activities in us?
Resistance to the truth is a common feature of living in the Snake Pit. We are living under the influence of the spirits of dullness and giving up to just get by. Satan hopes we will not notice him or his activities in us as anything that needs to be resisted. The Lord tells us to resist the devil and he will flee.

What time is it? I'm late! Time's up. We are eternal creatures who live in a corridor of time. The scripture admonishes us to redeem the time for the days are evil. Our life is given to us as a gift measured out as an allotted amount of time. We can invest that time in anything we choose.
The pauper and the rich man alike, are both given the same amount of time each day. The question is how will we invest that time. Will we give up on our dreams and the destiny God has put in our hearts because it is too hard or will we use that time to be prepared to fulfill the destiny as it unfolds.
Time is precious and once it passes it has been spent. Use to to buy up things you want to have with you in eternity.

Adam's cures made it hard for him to admit he was wrong. Thisis came down upon Eve as being blamed. Eve's curse is to want to be desired by her husband and that he would have the rule over her. If he was a tyrant, that would be her fate. If he were a godly man, she would be covered and blessed.
Many women, however, suffer today because their husbands are insecure and anxious. Eve was made to be a helpmate to her husband. Now, because he does not trust her, he does not have the god-sent help the Lord wanted him to have. Everything has taken a downward turn.

The Curse on Adam was more than just fighting weeds and sweating. The real curse the Enemy picked up on to use against the man came when Adam refused to admit he had eaten of the forbidden fruit. He blamed the woman that God had given him. There is no record of him ever admitting he had done anything wrong.
To this day, men have a very hard time admitting or confessing that they are guilty of any wrong doing. Their natural reaction is to blame their wives. This is not an attempt to blame men or get even or have an excuse to justify hating them. This is the discovery of a demonic plot against the men that has held them in bondage since the beginning.

What do we do when life is hard and God does not seem to be helping. We are being tested to become fearful and disappointed. Why are things so hard? What happened to having our “best life now”?
The Bible is full of stories of people who went through hard things. David comforted his soul be reminding himself the God was his rock. He was not going to be moved out of his place of confidence in God.
He counseled his soul to wait on God. It takes courage to trust and to wait, to stand and having done all, to stand, and not “throw in the towel.”
But, even if we are tempted to leave, where would we go. Jesus Christ in whom we have believed, has the words of eternal life.

Marriage was meant to be a covenant between a man and a woman. In Genesis, God made a help mate for Adam to keep him from getting lonely and help him with the Garden. But after they sinned, everything changed.
Adam refused to admit he had any part in the disobedient act of eating the fruit. Instead, he said, “it was the woman You gave me.” This opened up the first can of worms between them.
Bitterness, blaming and distrust sprang up in the middle of what once was a lovely relationship, and so it continues, thousands of years later, with rejection, abuse, in divorce court, mediation, separation, in broken and bitter families, with no strong presence guarding the door of the home to keep out the thieves and the peddlers of lies.
To this day, the Adams of this world have a hard time admitting when they are wrong. It is a curse upon all mankind and is the root of more marital discord than we can imagine. The men seem to have a generally hard time repenting or confessing their need for a Savior or being nice to their wives.
The curse of the woman was to desire her husband and he would have the rule over her. We do not have to imagine what a mess sin and hardness of heart have made of that situation! But there is hope. Listen and let all of us repent. It is time to break the curse of bitterness that controls the relationships between a man and his wife.
