How do we discern correctly what we are looking at when Jesus warned us that nothing is as it appears? Even those walking with Him and working in the Harvest field of souls may miss it.
When Jesus came the first time, many missed it because they were looking for a Messiah who would settle the turmoil of the world they lived in and restore the earthly kingdom of Israel. They could not see or grasp what was going on because their perception was distorted by their preconceived ideas and perceptions of what the Messiah would look like.
Even on the day of the Resurrection, His disciples didn’t recognize Him when he was walking right with them, because they were reasoning in their hearts. They were still looking for the missing body and why the tomb was empty.
We can get caught up in our own entanglements of perception and become overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. We must learn to pay attention to who we are listening to. We must learn to walk in the Spirit and not use our old soul-software to try and figure out how to follow Jesus.

We are all vulnerable to the shaking that is coming upon the earth.
Looking back into the Word of God, the cycle of falling away from the “revelation of God” has always brought a Divine response to bring us back to a spiritual course of life and truth.
We have witnessed a great falling away from justice and truth.
Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint”, has come around to describe the loss of direction and desire for the Lord.
He seems to get lost in the shuffle for “living your best live now.”
Hosea 4:1 “Hear the Word of the Lord, For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land,  there is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land.”
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” The people of God have been overtaken by a spirit of harlotry and covetousness, and idolatry.
The lack of the knowledge of God or the Fear of the Lord has left us in a very dangerous place. It is a place where the shaking is beginning.
The good news is that the LORD desires mercy and not sacrifice and knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” (Hosea 6:6)
Ezra encourages us with the thought “that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.
Let us come back to the truth and be set free from the slavery of the illusions Satan has set before us as truth.

Where is it safe to stand these days when normal is no longer possible and tragedies are an everyday occurrence?
The world is becoming more difficult. The shaking of everything that can be shaken seems to be starting to rumble.
All the earth, creation, nature, the wind, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and fire all travailing. It would appear that the weather is being unleashed against us, manipulated like an angry war machine.

We are worth what someone is willing to pay. What was the price God paid to buy us back from the brink of destruction?
We are not the determiners of our own value because we were created and authorized by God to carry His Own image and likeness.
The Enemy is constantly demeaning us by condemning us for our failures and our sins.
He is continually asking us to answer the question of our worth, imposing his words and thoughts onto our hearts and minds to make us feel unworthy.
He is slick and relentless in projecting his hatred onto us to drown out the voice of Our Father Who is forever saying, “I love you and would die for you.”
Let the love of the Father save you from the accusations of the Evil One.

Our relationship with ourselves is the lens through which we see and “do” every other relationship.
The Enemy has worked from before your conception to redefine you, to get you to agree that you are the things you see yourself doing, thinking, saying, and feeling.
He wants to obscure our origin, which defines our being, our right to be here, our value, our destiny, and our final destination.
We are Satan’s primary targets and his most despised Enemy because we carry the image of the Almighty God in our DNA.
He does not want us to know who we are or be confident in God’s love and faithfulness to us.
We are set up in the Devil’s classroom, taught by reality, reasoning, religion, and responsibility to try and figure things out through our perceptions.
As we learn our “lessons” under the evil and unforgiving eye of the Enemy, we feel, “It’s my fault. I should have, and I need to try harder.”
We become programmed into believing lies about ourselves, others, and God. Only the solid and unchanging Word of God gives us sure footing in this Snake Pit.

Our concept of God influences our relationship with Him. Our misconceptions of Him and His intentions can lead us astray. If our perceptions of God are wrong, or skewed, or distorted, we will feel betrayed and abandoned and are in danger of becoming bitter against Him. 
Bitterness against God can cause us to despise our birthright as Esau did who sold his divine privilege for a bowel of soup. If we do not understand or cherish our birthright as sons and daughters of God we will also be in danger of losing the greatest thing ever given to us, our relationship with God not only as God, but also as our Father. 
God is good all the time and if God is not good all the time, He is not good at all. We must know the biblical truth about God and His relationship with humanity. We must understnd His love, His position, and the significance of the covenant He has made with us through Jesus as our Redeemer Who made a way for us to get back to God.
God is Faithful. We can rely on His divine promises and live in the truth that overcomes the enemy's deceptions about God as we live in the freedom and protection promised by God

Our relationship with God is our first relationship, and yet few realize how fundamental and primary it is. He created us for relationship and fellowship.
Things were going well in the beginning of our first parents’ creation. They lived in a spacious, tropical paradise with food at their fingertips. They walked and talked with God in the cool of the day.
There was nothing they needed or wanted until the Serpent came with his lies and enchantments to disturb Eve with the possibility of “missing something.” She still did not know what was on that tree, the forbidden tree. Maybe there was more than what she had?
In the aftermath of that devastating curiosity, everything changed. God was no longer a friend. He had sent them away, and now life was sad and full of anger and regrets.
They were sent away from Paradise with their only hope in the strange promise God had made. He said He would “send the Head Crusher who would crush the serpent’s head and the serpent would bruise His heel.  
God was forced to step back from His relationship as Adam and Eve’s friend. He would now have to be their Savior.
