Deciding to follow God and stay the course requires endurance. Endure means to “suffer something painful or difficult, patiently.” The Bible's definition is “to bear up under hardship, to withstand adversity or persecution.”
The most powerful picture of endurance is recorded in Hebrews 12:1-3. “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the Joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews then leads us into a discussion about “not despising the chastening of the LORD.” To chasten means to correct. So many times, we are offended by correction, finding fault with the one who brings it.
Correction is part of our perfection. It is part of what God is using to perfect that which concerns us (Ps. 138:8),  but if we resist it or take it personally, we will miss the benefit of the chastening.

Souls are being caught “like birds” (Ezek. 13:17-23) with the drugs, Pharmakia, charms, and the Enchantments of the Evil One. We are living in the Devil’s Snake Pit, being seduced by the spirit of divination and bewitched by the sorcery of those who have been bewitched by the Enemy.
How did we get here? Or has this always been the case? What makes us vulnerable to being caught and bound by the lies of the Evil One who has made the truth look like the lie and the lie look like the truth? How do we get free from the power of witchcraft that is operating at so many different levels in our lives?
Jesus told us to repent. Repent from believing all the things we have surrendered ourselves to and sold ourselves for. Freedom begins with knowing the truth.
We must first recognize the snares of the enchantments and replace the fear of man with the fear of God!  We must forgive those who have practiced witchcraft against us and realize we are no exception to the devil’s desire to destroy us.
Whom the Son sets Free is Free, indeed, if they choose to walk in the truth. Jesus is the truth

"For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything be kept secret but that it should come to light." Mk. 4:22
The hidden works of darkness, the deception, the treachery, the secrets that have kept our souls locked in fear and bound in the treachery of the Devil's snake pit are being uncovered. The Enemy's blackmail and bullying are being exposed.
The Spirit of Truth is rising up, moving to uncover the lies and the control Satan has had over us our minds and our hearts since the beginning. Fear that has brought us into compromise and bondage is being forced to come into the light. The motives of the heart, the covetousness are being brought into judgment.
"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." Heb. 4:13 Nothing is hidden from the Lord. All will be known.
We will understand what the Enemy has tried to keep hidden from us for centuries. The only way to be on the right side of this exposure is to come clean, repent, and confess your sins, secrets, and even the things that control us that we do not realize are binding us.
Let us embrace the love of God and the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and know the Truth so that we will be able to stand firm in the face of The Great Exposing

Jesus reduced life into one power question, "For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mk. 8:37) "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?" How much is your soul worth? The worth of something is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for it.
How much was God willing to pay for the redemption of our souls? And will we despise the blood of God in selling our soul for a moment of pleasure, a moment of relief, a bowl of soup, a loaf of bread, or a handful of barley?  
Impulsive, critical choices we make carry eternal significance and consequences for our souls. By examining Biblical stories like that of Esau and the rich young ruler, we uncover the devastating effects of exchanging our souls for temporary gains.
The deceptive plots of the Enemy have been at work in the world, even in Ezekiel's day as recorded in Ezek. 13:17- end of the chapter. The divination, sorcery, and hunting of souls is not anything new. 
We are encouraged to stand firm in faith, seek transformation through the renewing of our minds and hearts, and embrace the power and authority given to us through salvation.
We have been bought with a price and agreed with the transaction. Therefore our souls are no longer for sale! Since we no longer own them, we have no right to be tricked into thinking we can sell them for less than they are worth.

Do not be deceived, Jesus said. “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ And will deceive many.” -Mt 24:4-5
“If anyone says, here is the Christ, do not believe it.” Mt. 24:23 Paul was afraid that if anyone came preaching “another Jesus” the people might put up with it. -II Cor. 11:4
One thing we may have completely overlooked in understanding the mysteries of iniquity is how the Enemy uses counterfeits to deceive us. Jesus Christ and the true gospel of Jesus Christ are two of his primary targets.
But how do we know if we have the real Jesus?  Using His own instructions, Jesus said, by their fruits, you shall know them. To discern whether something is good or evil, we must look at the fruit. If the fruit of the Jesus you are listening to is not compassionate, forgiving, understanding, and going with you through your trials and afflictions, it is not the real Jesus!
If the Jesus you are listening to brings guilt, shame, condemnation, scolding, striving, do more, try harder or does it reduce down to peace, rest, and freedom from anxiety, it is a religious counterfeit of the real Lamb of God and not the Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd does not stand there waiting for the little sheep caught in the briars to come to Him; he stoops down and lifts them up out of the pit.  Which Jesus, which gospel, are you following?

The Apostle Paul addressed that issue in Romans chapter 7 when he said, ”If I am doing what I will not to do, then it is no longer I who do it but the sin that dwells in me.”
Jesus very distinctly told us to cast out demons as one of the jobs he gave us to do on a regular basis. He did not call us to exert more willpower, work on a course of self-improvement, or try harder to be good.

We all have mothers. Our relationship with our mother is our first connection with life. The bond is strong, but the diabolical work of the enemy to undo the foundations of the righteous begins with how we treat our mothers and how they treat us.
The pain of children losing their mothers and mothers losing their children to the wiles of the Evil One, whether it be through drugs, gender identity confusion, other controlling relationships,  or one of a thousand other deceptive schemes to pull them away from their parents, is real.

Are you caught circling around old habits, stuck in a rut, living your life in passive unfulfillment,  up against a mountain of resistance and difficulty?
