Great expectations in life and in God can be the source of great disappointment. The ways of God do not work like the ways of the world.  Many of us think our ideas of how things should work in this walk with Jesus are “off”. We don’t like to hear this because we have been programmed to measure success by this world’s standards. But when we look at the way God worked with His people, we see a different story. We have our mind set, like Naaman, on how God should do things.
And when God does not do things like we want, we get disappointed. Disappointment is expecting something we didn’t get. Disappointment sets up a great barrier to faith. Maybe it is time to let God be God and do things His way. God wants to do miracles, things only He can do – but He wants willing vessels to do those Miracles through. Maybe then, if we let God be God, and let Him do the miracles, there won’t be so much disappointment and discouragement in the Body of Christ. After all, HE IS the Head!

To Love or not to Love - that is the question. Is it possible to love at all times, and under all circumstances or are there times to turn away from love? Is our love really about keeping the rules, boundaries, expectations of others and based on fulfilling certain expectations? If what I think of as love reduces down to being all about me, I am still locked in selfishness and fear.
Real love is defeating the unloving spirit that is rooted in fear of love. Real love is being in a relationship with someone who wants to know you - with someone you want to get to know for who they are, not for what they can do for you. Real love begins with knowing and accepting the love God has for us. Real love does not come from keeping the religious rules that offer lip service to love, but through the revelation of God's unconditional love for us.

Is your love life like a box of chocolates? Never knowing what you're going to get? The biblical definition of love is " to know and be known". But is being vulnerable safe in real life? We become afraid to love, or be loved, for fear of being betrayed or judged. 
We cannot love until we know we are unconditionally loved by God first. Only the true unconditional love of God can sustain us and protect our hearts in the dangerous battlefields of relationships in our quest for love.

Recognizing what we are dealing with is essential to dealing with it, that includes recognizing and dealing with demons. In our modern systems of diagnosing, everything has been relabeled a bad behavior, an addiction, depression, etc. Nothing is taken back to its Point of Origin to see what is really going on or where it comes from.
In God's divine order, there are only two kingdoms. Demons are from the devil's kingdom and work to ensnare humans. They are the spiritual parasites that work for Hell and company. Before we can deal effectively with something we must admit it is real. To deny the cancer or the addiction, or to treat it incorrectly will not bring the results we are looking for. Spiritual and physical life and recovery work on these same principles.Error in church doctrine must be corrected. The command given by Jesus to Cast out Demons is clear. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Eph. 6:12

Believe it or not, we hate sin! We are built by God, created in his image. God hates sin and so do we. Sin separates us from God and His plan to reunite us with Him. The Devil has used sin as a lever to pry us apart from God by using our hatred  of sin to get us to try to get rid of it ourselves. He has created all kinds of religions and rituals to deal with it, but the truth is we are freed through the Blood of Jesus.

We are often being affected by other people's demons when we are tempted to go with them to do evil. We don't realize they are being tempted by demons that are now extending their influence through them to us. This is the chain reaction of evil influence that brings us both into bondage. Demons also operate within us. They seek to merge themselves with us in such a way as to deceive us into defending our behavior as being part of who we are. We become offended when other people try to call our attention to our behavior. We take it personally and  get defensive. The twist ends up with us defending the demons that are working to destroy us.

A subject most of us live with but no one ever talks about. Life is full of difficulties, most of which come through dysfunctional relationships with others. We are enmeshed, obligated, dependent, controlled, entangles with roped of love and need. If fear is the glue that holds this dysfunctional mess together, then love is the thing that will fix it. But, how do we love the person and deal with their demons in a godly way that pleases God and brings deliverance? Read I Samuel for the story of how David did it.

Having faith implies we believe in something. Having faith in the promises of the One True God, means we believe in God. Faith in God’s Promises is foundational to a believer’s life. Abraham believed the promises God made to him and his faith caused him to follow God. The faith he demonstrated in his obedience to follow God was accounted to him as righteousness.
But, faith can be tricky. How much faith do I need? Do I have enough faith to receive the thing I am believing for? Is our faith measured in the outcome or in obtaining the objective for which we trusted? After all, some who believed were delivered from the lions and some were eaten by the lions. The testing of our faith is the point of all our trials - which reduce down to can I believe God to be faithful to deliver me from the trial according to His Promises.

Joy to the World the Lord has come! The joy of the Lord is our strength. The world is weak and weary and has lost its way. This is a time to remember the goodness of God who sent His Son to bring peace and reconciliation to mankind.
God is not mad at us! He has come to save us from this world that has become unfit for human habitation. He has come to announce through the angelic hosts, His love.  
His love and the gift of salvation is not based upon the goodness and good will of men, but is conditional only in our willingness to accept His good will, offered in the Gift of His Son.
