Our food, air, water, soil, weather, identity, morals, justice systems, even the gospel has been hijacked by the Kingdom of Darkness. The takeover has not been limited to the external world.
Our internal communications systems, our health, and spiritual vitality have also been attacked by fear, sickness and demonic  activity. The enemy is working over time to program us with his body of death to destroy any resistance that we might raise up against him.

Suffering has flooded the earth with pain, longing, waiting, injustice, lack, and human conflict. Few have not tasted its bitter visitation into their lives, relationships, health and hopes. What is the purpose of suffering? The fiery trials are to refine us and create in us, the image and heart of Jesus Christ. 
We can suffer for righteousness sake. We can suffer for the foolishness of our own sins. We can suffer because of the sins others have committed against us.
Suffering can come from the sins of our generations, in the Enemy using the unfinished business of sin and iniquity of those who lived before us to bring the patterns of loss and suffering and health aliments upon us. We have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus but we must stand our ground against the Accuser who tries to charge us with the punishment for the sins of others. How many children are attacked by a spirit of sexual perversion coming from their generation, and suffering for the sins of others begins to set the course of their lives.  Explore the suffering in your life to know how all things are working together for your good and allow the things you are suffering make you more like Jesus.

Suffering is part of this fallen world. Can it be avoided? Is there any redeeming merit to it? Is there such a thing as suffering needlessly? What does it mean to suffer for Christ? As common as suffering is among us, suffering still remains a mystery. Its origin and purposes seem to be hidden to us though we could be missing some of suffering’s greatest benefits. 
God uses suffering to refine our faith to bring forth the character and image of Christ in our lives. Jesus Himself learned obedience (demonstrated His obedience) through the things He suffered. It is a privilege to enter into the fellowship of His sufferings although most of us do not see suffering as a privilege but as a punishment.

Great expectations in life and in God can be the source of great disappointment. The ways of God do not work like the ways of the world.  Many of us think our ideas of how things should work in this walk with Jesus are “off”. We don’t like to hear this because we have been programmed to measure success by this world’s standards. But when we look at the way God worked with His people, we see a different story. We have our mind set, like Naaman, on how God should do things.
And when God does not do things like we want, we get disappointed. Disappointment is expecting something we didn’t get. Disappointment sets up a great barrier to faith. Maybe it is time to let God be God and do things His way. God wants to do miracles, things only He can do – but He wants willing vessels to do those Miracles through. Maybe then, if we let God be God, and let Him do the miracles, there won’t be so much disappointment and discouragement in the Body of Christ. After all, HE IS the Head!

To Love or not to Love - that is the question. Is it possible to love at all times, and under all circumstances or are there times to turn away from love? Is our love really about keeping the rules, boundaries, expectations of others and based on fulfilling certain expectations? If what I think of as love reduces down to being all about me, I am still locked in selfishness and fear.
Real love is defeating the unloving spirit that is rooted in fear of love. Real love is being in a relationship with someone who wants to know you - with someone you want to get to know for who they are, not for what they can do for you. Real love begins with knowing and accepting the love God has for us. Real love does not come from keeping the religious rules that offer lip service to love, but through the revelation of God's unconditional love for us.
