Having faith implies we believe in something. Having faith in the promises of the One True God, means we believe in God. Faith in God’s Promises is foundational to a believer’s life. Abraham believed the promises God made to him and his faith caused him to follow God. The faith he demonstrated in his obedience to follow God was accounted to him as righteousness.
But, faith can be tricky. How much faith do I need? Do I have enough faith to receive the thing I am believing for? Is our faith measured in the outcome or in obtaining the objective for which we trusted? After all, some who believed were delivered from the lions and some were eaten by the lions. The testing of our faith is the point of all our trials - which reduce down to can I believe God to be faithful to deliver me from the trial according to His Promises.

Joy to the World the Lord has come! The joy of the Lord is our strength. The world is weak and weary and has lost its way. This is a time to remember the goodness of God who sent His Son to bring peace and reconciliation to mankind.
God is not mad at us! He has come to save us from this world that has become unfit for human habitation. He has come to announce through the angelic hosts, His love.
His love and the gift of salvation is not based upon the goodness and good will of men, but is conditional only in our willingness to accept His good will, offered in the Gift of His Son.

The Seed of the Woman will crush the head of the Serpent, a virgin will conceive a Son, God will come to earth, the divine King found lying in a manger of hay, all came together in the fulfillment of the great mystery and wonderful arrival we celebrate as the birth of Jesus.
Jesus - the Son of God and the son of Man, is God's solution to our slavery and deliverance from the captivity imposed upon us be the Wicked One. Let us rejoice in what God has done!

Faith is living beyond the natural realm of sight. Jesus said not to make judgments based upon appearance. We are told, “The just shall live by faith”, not feelings. So what do we do with our feelings, reality and appearances of the way things look when we are tempted to base our decisions on what things look like and feel like?
Doubt and double-mindedness prowl on every side as the Word of God admonishes us “to be strong in the power of His might” “that we may be able to “stand against the wiles of the devil.” We stand and prevail through faith, standing on the word and promises of God, who is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us. Reality and appearances and feelings and fear must be defeated by faith in the faithfulness of God and in His compassion for us to finish the work He has begun in us.

Peter describes the devil as an adversary that goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He tells us to reisit him steadfast in the faith. How do we deal with the lions roaring through your life? The pain, the grief over the loss of loved ones, the loneliness and fear, the health issues and the calamities of life are too much. They are threatening to overwhelm us and take us out.
Peter tells us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Daniel addressed those lions by humbling himself to confess the sins that had brought his people into captivity - by confessing the sins of his nation.
Now it is our turn. What will we do? Deny we have a problem or humble ourselves and confess our sins and the sins of this nation so we can receive the revelation of God’s forgiveness and good news. There is only one way out of this and that is the way provided by Jesus Christ

Daniel lived to serve his God during the reign of four pagan kings. He stayed strong and true to his God in the midst of incredible wickedness, threats of death, false accusations, attempts to change his identity and political changes.
He was visited by Gabriel and was entrusted with the most detailed blueprint of the events of the End Days ever recorded previous to the Revelation of John. His words were so accurate that even Jesus used them to warn of specific things that would signal the coming of the Great tribulation and the reign of the Anti-christ. Some would be overcome and some would do exploits. Daniel did exploits. Some of us are called to do the same.

In the medical model of healing, sin has been overlooked as a root cause of disease in both physical and mental illness. The Enemy uses our agreements with guilt, fear, unforgiveness, and even the sins of others to bring his sickness and pain upon us. God gets no glory from us being tormented by the Enemy any more than we are happy when our children are sick.
Confusion and condemnation around being sick and struggling with health issues make it difficult to stand on God’s promises for healing. Am I sick because of my sin? Am I guilty? Why doesn’t God hear my prayer?
Healing is a gift from God as is salvation. Knowing the truth about the love and goodness of God gives us the freedom to receive the gift of forgiveness and healing.

The Children of Israel were bitten by fiery serpents in the wilderness after they had been complaining. God’s solution to the poisonous venom that was killing them was not a medical intervention. He simply told them to look on the brazen serpent Moses hung from the pole and live. Looking was their act of obedience that broke the spell of Satan’s demonic judgment against them and their agreement with him. Healing, as with health, is a very spiritual matter. Many spiritual complications hinder God’s will for us to be well. Obedience and forgiveness open the way for divine intervention and healing.

Because of the rampant deception of the last days the Bible admonishes us to test all things, and not believe every thing that looks like and is promoted to be the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. He warns us that in the last days that even the very elect would be deceived if possible. Paul was not afraid to call out the deceivers, not a common practice today.
